To prevent moisture from seeping into the soil beneath, it was crucial to seal these cracks and the control joints that were cut between the slabs when they were first poured. Using urethane caulk from a DIY store was a temporary solution prone to cracking, bubbling, and drying out over time, necessitating frequent reapplications.
