Settlement can be caused by one or any combination of many factors including sub-grade saturation of moisture due to poor drainage, years of storm runoff, plumbing leaks, improper compaction, the lack of a proper foundation system, and/or natural earth movement.

After the pile has been driven into the ground and the bracket securely put in place.
Final Step
After all pile are installed the final step is to backfill all holes. If concrete was cut out to dig the hole new concrete is poured.
