Clay soils mixed with moisture can be a recipe for foundation heave.  Foundation heave occurs when moisture becomes trapped beneath your home's foundation and causes the clay soils to swell.  What was once a flat foundation may now have a dome heave in the areas of the swell.     Floor cracks are a symptom of foundation heave.  We crack stitched the floors of this 2003 single family home prior to installing our proprietary heave mitigation system, The MoistureLevel Smart Foundation System.  The only heave mitigation system of its kind, the ML system creates a vacuum beneath the foundation to draw out & expel moisture away from the foundation.
