Do having Plants Right Next to the Foundation negatively affect my house's Foundation?
Plants, flowers, and bushes are not good for your foundation, especially if the plants are next to the foundation. The major problem when having plants right next to your foundation is that the expansive soil that is underneath the foundation will expand and will eventually cause structural and cosmetic problems such as cracks.
Underpinning Installation Process: Digging & Cutting
Not all of the steps involve digging, some steps need cutting, as shown in this picture. The wooden floor got cut to get access to the crawlspace and start installing the Smart Jacks to strengthen the house's foundation.
Underpinning Installation Process: Protecting Surroundings
Using plastic sheets in the area where the project is getting done is very important to protect the residency from any unfortunate events that might occur.
Underpinning Installation Process: Crawl Space
Some crawl spaces are small and narrow, and it may even be impossible to move freely, but our team manages to go through those spaces even in summer when the temperatures in the crawl spaces are higher than normal. Our Customers are our priority, and their priority is our priority; that is why AZF does its best to encapsulate and foundation support those crawl spaces.
Underpinning Installation Process: Distance is Crucial
Distance between each pier is very important because depending on how far away or close each pier is from one another will influence the foundation support provided.
Underpinning Process: Last Assessment
Right before permanently installing each pier with its assigned bracket, our foundation heroes need to complete the last assessment, where they evaluate the current status of the foundation to know if it is wise to lift the house's foundation back to its original position.
Underpinning Process: Teamwork
Teamwork is crucial for all of our processes to exceed our expectation and provide the consumers with the product and service they deserve; that is why AZFZ work very hard on a daily bases to improve communication and enhance our system and techniques.
Underpinning Process: Location
Location is very important because the location of each pier will determine the level of foundation support provided to every specific area; that is why our engineering department is in charge of choosing every single spot with the help of the foreman in charge of the project.
After Foundation Support Installation
As shown in this image, the crawl space looks stronger than ever, and the homeowners will no longer have to worry about their foundation failing or being unlevel.
