The Owners of this 1948 Tucson bungalow home reached out to us after noticing signs of a potential foundation problem. These signs included:
Doors sticking / pinched
Floors that are out of level
Cracks I the interior drywall
Gaps between the baseboards & the floor
Cracks in the foundation outside
The Homeowners wanted to have the issue addressed and resolved to maintain the value of the home. There was also a concern about the cracking and popping noises the house was making.
Once a Forensic Foundation Inspection was completed, the data was reviewed, and our Engineering Team composed a repair plan.
The recommendation:
- Underpin the foundation where foundation settlement is present.
- Crack stitch the areas of broken concrete
- Monitor the foundation heave discovered as it does not yet require intervention
