Stem Wall Failure Signs
As you can see, some of the signs of rust production and oxidation are when the stem wall starts to flake. When this happens, it means the concrete already changed its PH and became acid decomposing the rebar on its way.
Galvanized Tiedown Strap Failure
The black and vertical tiedown implanted in the spalling concrete stem wall is already rusted and failing. Thanks, NeverRust those old-fashion tie-downs got replaced by an innovative material shown in the following photo.
Polypropylene loops Function
As shown in the photo, the polypropylene loops are very flexible and last for a lifetime. These loops do what any galvanized tiedown does but just better. Basically, these loops are attached to the rebar and keep the wall in contact with the stem wall and the foundation as well. in this way the structure of the house is secured.
NeveRust™ Result
This is the result of a successful NeveRust™ installation. As depicted in the photograph, the stem wall is dried and ready to go! Thanks to Arizona Foundation Solutions, this home will never have stem wall problems on the same stem wall again.
